A blog to acknowledge those who should have been acknowledged and thanked more appropriately before, and to possibly help you in your lives and career by provoking thought, reflection and reading material that might well alter your career and life. If it prompts you to contemplate and acknowledge those in your life, even better.

The rainy season

The rainy seaso is upon us...I have always loved Barry Manilow's song. "I made it through the rain" as I think it many times addresses the struggles one has to endure on the way to success.  Many of our mentors and friends served as excellent "umbrellas" to continue the metaphor.  For all those struggling with success and what might be next, here are the lyrics from Barry Manilow's song straight from the web.  I would also urge you to listen to the song carefully when you get time....I would also like to thank my "umbrellas"many of them who have been subjects of past posts....

We dreamers have our ways
Of facing rainy days
And somehow we survive
We keep the feelings warm
Protect them from the storm
Until our time arrives
Then one day the sun appears
And we come shining through those lonely years
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it thought the rain
I kept my point of view
I made it through the rain
And found myself respected
By the others who
Got rained on too
And made it through
When friends are hard to find
And life seems so unkind
Sometimes you feel afraid
Just aim beyond the clouds
And rise above the crowds
And start your own parade
'Cause when I chased my fears away
That's when I knew that I could finally say
I made it through the rain
I kept my world protected
I made it thought the rain
